Legal Foundations
Course
The CCIC Online Training Course offers 7 hours of specialized legal instruction designed to provide instructors with an in-depth understanding of constitutional rights and protections, firearms and concealed carry law, self-defense law, and the criminal justice system.

1-hour Online
State Legal Foundations
Course
The State-specific Legal Foundations Online Training Course individually addresses each state’s carry permit process, firearm and self-defense laws, and any other state-specific training requirements. Certification can be obtained for multiple states by completing the training for each.

Shooting Fundamentals Course
+ Live-Fire Qualification *
If you are a new firearms instructor, you will need to successfully complete an additional Online Concealed Carry Shooting Fundamentals Course focused on firearms training, range safety, and operations, along with an In-Person Shooting Qualification with a U.S. LawShield CCIC Instructor Trainer.
*Step 3 May be waived for Existing Firearms Instructors
If you are an existing firearms instructor, adding the U.S. LawShield Concealed Carry Instructor Credential to your resume can be accomplished with only the 8 hours of online learning explained in Parts 1 & 2. At the completion of the Legal Foundations training, you will be given the opportunity to submit proof of existing firearms instructor certification for Prior Learning Credit. Recognized credentials include:
- National Rifle Association: NRA Basic Pistol, NRA Personal Protection In The Home, NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home, NRA CCW Instructor
- US Concealed Carry Association: Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
- Law Enforcement & Military: Law Enforcement and Military instructors holding Handgun Instructor designations
- Other Credentials: Upon individual review, other credential types may be considered. Instructor candidates will have the ability to upload existing instructor credentials for review.

The U.S. LawShield Affiliate Instructor Program not only allows you to complete the U.S. LawShield Instructor Program at no cost, but it may also qualify you to take part in our paid affiliate program. Paid affiliates are paid a fixed monthly amount to market U.S. LawShield products and programs as part of their training courses.
Specifically, paid affiliates will be expected to incorporate select U.S. LawShield training and marketing content into their course curriculum, or utilize the U.S. LawShield provided curriculum that already contains the content.
